This delicious 3-bottle selection contains:

Collazzi, Fattoria I Collazzi, IGT Toscana 2011

A soft, fruity wine with a good tannic structure which is almost ready to drink now. It is elegant and rich with a lovely deep ruby-garnet colour. A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, the nose is open and enticing, with notes of ripe fruit and cedar oak. The palate is round, rich and very smooth. Made in the Bordeaux style with a Tuscan exhuberance. Drink now and over the next 5 years.

Liberta, Fattoria I Collazzi, IGT Toscana 2014

A superb Tuscan wine and at a fantastic price, Liberta 2014 is a very pretty wine with lots of appeal. A blend of Merlot, Syrah with a small proportion of Sangiovese, it has a bright velvet red colour and lovely fruit aromas of red and morello cherries and damsons. The palate is silky-smooth with a fine balance between the fruit, oak and tannins. It is a delicious wine which can be served lightly chilled (around 14°C) to bring out the fresh, fruity characters.

Oloroso Antique, Bodega Fernando de Castilla, Jerez de la Frontera

This is the favourite sherry of owner Jan Pettersen and has won many prizes as well as receiving great reviews. It comes from a very old Fino solera (8 years old) and is fortified with brand to 16°-18° before being added to the Amontillado solera where it ages for a further 12 years. This is probably the most serious and austere Sherry in the portfolio with its rich dark gold colour with amber green hints. The wine has a wonderful balance between fresh purity and complex flavours – honey, hazelnuts, almonds, orange peel, caramel with fantastic acidity. A very special Sherry to serve with goose liver paté, tapas, chorizo and pata negra.
