Seduction selection

This seductive 6-bottle selection contains:

Domaine la Soufrandise Vieilles Vignes, Pouilly-Fussé 2015

This is the domain's flagship wine and is produced from its oldest vines (75 years old) grown in the best climates in Fuissé. It undergoes very long fermentations, a proportion of which are in the barrel, and has notes of honey, almond and orchard fruits, a very pretty persistence and beautifully fresh Chardonnay characteristics.

1 BOTTLE OF JEAN GRIVOT, NUITS S'-GEORGES "AUX BOUDOTS" PREMIER CRU 2008

One of the estate's top wines grown on superb terroir on the 'Vosne' side of Nuits-Saint-Georges. It seamlessly blends the more powerful style of the Nuits and the exquisite elegance of Vosne-Romanée. Rich, energetic and brimming with finesse and class.

JEAN GRIVOT, CLOS DE VOUGEOT GRAND CRU 2008

A parcel of 40-year-old vines which was bought by Gaston Grivot in 1919. This Clos de Vougeot is full-bodied, powerful if a little temperamental in youth. A surly infant which develops superb refinement with age and requiring a good ten years to reveal its true potential and finesse. Well-made, generous and silky-smooth with aromas of violets, truffle and a savoury, earthy complexity.

Château Loubens, Sainte-Croix-du-Mont 1990

The piece de resistance of the evening will be a beautiful glass of sweet Bordeaux - from Sainte Croix du Mont. Of course, she will refuse to take dessert but her resistance will break down when served this gorgeous golden nectar. Et voila - a beautifully easy, sensual dinner.
