This magnificent 3-bottle selection contains:

CHÂTEAU COUHINS, PESSAC-LÉOGNAN 2013

This wine is proof of just how successful the whites were in 2013. It is powerfuly aromatic and full of character. Made from late-harvested grapes, with vibrant Sauvignon aromas, a fruity palate and fine taught finish. Drink 2015-2018.

La Petite Eglise, Pomerol 2011

Made from 100% Merlot grapes grown on gravel soils, this wine has very typical Pomerol aromas –of spice, chocolate, truffle and ripe fruits. Very pretty with a nice balance, smooth texture and fresh on the finish.

Château Filhot, Sauternes, Deuxième Crus 2005

The selection is topped off with a beautiful Sauternes from the fabulous 2005 vintage which is rich and sweet on the palate but leaves a smokey dryness on the finish. 2005 is a hugely successful vintage for Filhot - possibly the best this historic estate has ever produced. A beautiful golden yellow colour, with pronounced pineapple, apricot and pear aromas with a very fine balance between opulence and sweetness. Superb quality for the price. It will be remembered for decades to come.
